Drugs (prescription medicines being the exception), Alcohol, Nicotine (including vapes)
Music playing devices
Pocket Knives (weapons in general)
Expensive items (clothing, jewelry, or keepsakes)
Cell phones
Note: Chaperones need to be sure to have parental/guardian contact information for each of their youth, as well as have shared their own cell phone contact information with the youthโs parents/guardians in case of an emergency.
Optional/Helpful Items to Bring
Although Prayer + Action strives to provide the basic and necessary tools/equipment for each worksite, we always welcome additional/speciality tools (in good working condition) to use any given week, or as a permanent donation. These include but are not limited to gardening tools, shovels, rakes, hedge clippers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, paint supplies, etc. Please email kylek@archkck.org for further information.
Dress Code
Dress at both the host parish and work sites should be casual but modest.
All shirts must have sleeves, no tank tops (students may wear t-shirts with cut-off sleeves at the work sites only)
All shirts must be long enough to cover your tummies - no midriffs
Shorts need to be appropriate length, in order to maintain a proper level of modesty.
Closed toe shoes required at worksites at all times (no flip flops, sandals, or going barefoot)
Shoes must be worn at all times, whether sneakers, flip-flops, or sandals, etc.
